Pumpkin Patch

When Brianna and Mary first became roommates, Brianna learned two things. The first was that when Mary said she liked to keep things clean….she meant OCD perfection (more on this lovable quirk later). The second was that Mary took her beverages very, very seriously!

Especially when it came to tea. Even on the hottest days, Mary could be seen with a steaming mug of loose leaf. However, cold weather calls for something a bit more rich– the Pumpkin Patch!

Brianna developed the Pumpkin Patch, less so because she was using her culinary brain and more because ’twas the season and she had discovered a vegan pumpkin spice syrup. After 3 straight days of pumpkin flavored everything, she made these inspired tea lattes:


  • Chai Tea (1 bag or 2 tsp loose leaf)
  • Hot Water
  • Preferred Milk (we prefer WestSoy Unsweetened Vanilla SoyMilk for our lattes!) 
  • 2 tsp Pumpkin Spice Syrup (We love Monin– they’re vegan and gluten free!) 
  • Cinnamon

In a 16 oz mug, steep tea for 5 minutes in 4 oz of boiling water. Meanwhile, combine Pumpkin Spice syrup (1-3 tsp, depending on preference) with chosen milk. Whisk over medium heat until frothy. Remove tea bag, add milk, and top with cinnamon! For a classier finish, use aerolatte design templates!
